After my adventure in the Himalayas, I now have another opportunity to push my limits and aim for the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. This involves completing three of the most significant swims in history: the English Channel (which I completed last year), the Catalina Channel, and the Manhattan Swim. This year is filled with challenges but also with a sense of fulfillment as I tackle the Catalina Channel and the Manhattan Swim with a mission—swimming with a purpose.
I am collaborating with my wonderful partner, Adalvo, to whom I am very grateful for supporting these swims. Together, we aim to highlight the importance of preserving our water sources and addressing the global water crisis. Water is essential for life, yet millions worldwide 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫. That's why we want to collaborate with charity: Water, an NGO committed to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. About the swims, these two present different challenges:
🌊Catalina: 21st of July
The Catalina Channel will be a long night swim, during which I will face my fear of sharks in the darkness. All the risk measures are in preparation. This swim has six different kinds of challenges that I need to be prepared for.
🌊Manhattan: 21st of August
The Manhattan Channel Swim will be a unique challenge in the not-so-clean Hudson River, with the mission of raising awareness of the importance of clean water.
Remember, be always on target for your dreams, as they help you live a life with purpose. Your passion is always linked to your purpose. So, keep going for your dreams and unlocking potential!
